'39, Sunbeam B28

A Sunbeam B28 600cc from 1939.

Associated Motor Cycles had acquired the Sunbeam name in 1937 and production had moved to London SE18. AMC chose to retain the valuable Sunbeam name and for the 1939 season marketed a range of entirely new Sunbeams which were essentially re-badged AJS models. They featured full pressure lubrication and were readily distinguishable by the massive timing case bearing the Sunbeam script. The new models became known as the ‘hi-cam’ Sunbeams.
